Screensaver node not executing any task
« on: December 22, 2006, 10:29:45 AM »

Hii,

Pls let me know how to configure the screensaver node.  I have installed it and run it as like any other screensaver in windows.  But it did not execute any task.  Is there any property file to be set to?  In the earlier release (JPPF 0.22.0.1) it is specifying that the screensaver bug is fixed.  But my screensaver node did not execute any task.  Pls let me know how to solve the problem.

Abilash,

There's a bug in the screensaver that causes an exception when log4j is intializing. I have fixed and tested it and it is now working.
It will be part of the next release, planned for Tuesday, Dec 26th 2006

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Screensaver bug - one more problem
« Reply #4 on: December 29, 2006, 06:27:39 AM »

Hii Laurent,

Now i am able to execute task through the screen saver.

But one more problem.  I have given some taks to driver and configured the screen saver for that driver.  But i can see the tasks are getting executing even if the screensaver is not loaded.  Why that is happening?  Actually it should execute the tasks only after the screensaver gets initiated, right?  But now its executing before screensaver gets loaded.  And when i took the preview of the screensaver its just showing the number of tasks executed.  its displaying only the time.  Pls let me know, how these problems were solved.

Hii,

Wishing all of you a very happy new year in advance.

Hope you got my previous problem.

Actually the screensaver node is executing the tasks even if it is not loaded.  I have set the driver ip to screensaver node and gave some tasks to driver through my client program.  But the tasks are getting executed at that moment itself, that is, before the screensaver gets loaded.  It have to execute the tasks only after loading the screensaver, right?

Please get me a solution, why it is happening like that.

Thanx in advance,
       Abhilash
