Error in importing Eclipse project file for Trunk
« on: November 13, 2014, 09:46:19 AM »

Hi,

I am trying to setup Eclipse IDE for development. I am having error when importing this Eclipse project set file for the trunk.
"The following errors occurred while importing projects. Some projects may not be loaded.
Projects for repository type org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.core.svnnature could not be loaded as the type could not be found."

I am using the link provided on http://www.jppf.org/doc/v3/index.php?title=Working_from_the_source_code which is http://www.jppf.org/private/svn-trunk-projectSet.psf.

Please find attached screenshot as well.

TIA

Hello,

It seems you didn't install the Subclipse SVN client plugin in your Eclipse instance. It is needed so that Eclipse chan check out the projects from our SVN repository. Can you please install this plugin and let us know how it works for you?

Thanks,
-Laurent

I have installed the SubEclipe Client. Now I am having below errors (printError attached):

The following errors occurred while importing projects. Some projects may not be loaded.
org.apache.subversion.javahl.ClientException: Bad URL passed to RA layer
svn: URL 'https://svn.code.sf.net/p/jppf-project/code/trunk/JPPF-GigaSpaces' non-existent in revision 3476

org.apache.subversion.javahl.ClientException: Bad URL passed to RA layer
svn: URL 'https://svn.code.sf.net/p/jppf-project/code/trunk/JPPF-GigaSpaces' non-existent in revision 3476

Thank you

I dont understand why it's trying to checkout the gigaspaces project, since it's not part of the trunk code. It looks like eclipe is reading from the previous project set, which was for the 3.3 branch as shown in your first screenshot.

Could you retry using a file location for the project set file, instead of a URL? I just did that on my side and it worked like a charm.

Sincerely,
-Laurent
