Given the growing success of JPPF, and the overwhelming number of features we need to implement, we can definitely use some help.

We are looking for talented Java SE / Core Java developers looking for challenges in the following areas:
- distributed and parallel computing
- high-performance networking (java.net and java.nio)
- Swing UIs
- monitoring and management (JMX)
We are looking for responsible developers who are willing to communicate frequently (email, chat, phone, voip), make time or task commitments, and keep their commitments!
Some of the tasks we envision with your help:
- writing a new fast and compact Java serialization mechanism
- integration of JPPF with other products such as Hadoop, Map Reduce, GigaSpaces, Talend Studio and others
- implementation of a TCP/IP based JMX remote implementation
- ongoing development of a framework for dynamic UI generation based on XML + scripting language descriptors
Other responsibilities:
- contribute in supporting our users through the user forums ( http://www.jppf.org/forums )
- identify, register and follow-up on new feature requests
- high reactivity on identified bugs
Technical skills requirements:
- we are asking for wizard-level core Java skills. We will not teach you these.
If you know that you can start right away on one of the tasks mentioned above, please contact us.
If not, please don't bother until you do.
- J2EE knowledge, skills or experience are irrelevant to this project, there is no need to mention them.
Soft skills requirements:
- you must be willing to communicate frequently with the team.
Our preferred channels: email, Skype (chat / voice), phone works great too!
- we request good English presentation and written skills, these are vital for supporting our users, documenting the project, and communicating to the world.
- ability to work both with a team and independantly
