Hi Sergg, good to hear from you.
No JPPF is not frozen, I promise.
We are currently undergoing major architectural changes, and these are taking a lot of time and hard word.
I don't want to disclose everything yet, but here are the broad lines of our work and research:
- extension of the framework to a multi-server architecture to expand the scaalabiliy to millions of nodes
- major refactoring of the code based on dependency injection principles
- full fledged test harness
- full fledged security
- JMX-based monitoring and management
- integration with major grid toolkits like Globus
Of course, we will keep the current flexibility and ease of use of JPPF, it will not be sacrificed.
So, while it's true that we haven't given a lot of news these last weeks, we are hard at work and still commited to supporting our users.
Let us know if there's anything else you need.
